Un nouvel accord de licence à récemment été annoncé entre le géant mondial du streaming, Netflix et Universal Filmed Entertainment.

Ce nouveau contrat pluriannuel, offre à Netflix, une fenêtre exclusive sur les films d’Illumination et de DreamWorks Animation, à l’instar de ceux de la fenêtre payante des longs métrages Universal vers son

partenaire récent, Peacock, Prime Video d’Amazon et IMDb TV.

À cet effet, Les sorties de l’an 2022, tels que Les Minions : The Rise of Gru d’Illumination ; The Bad Guys and Puss In Boots et The Last Wish de DreamWorks Animation, seront parmi les premiers titres à être diffusés sous ce partenariat.

Dans le cadre de cet accord, Netflix a également obtenu les droits de licence pour l’ensemble de la gamme de films d’animation et d’action de la Universal Filmed Entertainment, à partir de quatre (4) ans environ après la sortie du film, ainsi que les droits pour certains titres de la vaste cinémathèque que propose celle ci.

Universal and Netflix sign an exclusive deal for animated films in the U.S.

A new licensing agreement was recently announced between global streaming giant Netflix and Universal Filmed Entertainment.

This new multi-year deal, offers Netflix, an exclusive window on Illumination and DreamWorks Animation films, in addition to those of Universal’s paid feature film window to its recent partner, Peacock, Amazon’s Prime Video and IMDb TV.

To that end, upcoming 2022 releases such as Illumination’s Minions: The Rise of Gru; DreamWorks Animation’s The Bad Guys and Puss In Boots and The Last Wish will be among the first titles to be released under this partnership.

As part of the agreement, Netflix has also secured the licensing rights to Universal Filmed Entertainment’s entire line of animated and live-action films, beginning approximately four (4) years after the film’s release, as well as the rights to select titles from its extensive film library.
